No. Kalyos reads the summary of your skills and opens the right one by itself. You can pause one at any time.

Are my skills checked?

Yes. Each skill is read before it is added, and refused if it hides instructions or tries to send your data.

A skill is a written method: your tone, your code rules, the shape of meeting notes. Kalyos keeps a summary of each and opens the whole skill as soon as a request concerns it. It follows the SKILL.md format, the open Agent Skills standard.
